GUALDO TADINO (PG) – On Thursday, March 5th, a successful reforestation initiative promoted by Our Land Holding Ltd concluded on its property in Caprara, Gualdo Tadino. The event featured students from the 4th-year “Health and Social Assistance Services” program at the IIS “R. Casimiri”, who were actively engaged in planting dozens of linden and walnut trees.
The day, organized by Professor Pamela Pennacchioli and supported by School Principal Professor Renzo Menichetti, transformed the students into active guardians of the land, enhancing the biodiversity and beauty of the Umbrian agricultural landscape.
Accompanied by teachers Monia Leonardi, Talita Biagetti, Ilaria Bonci, and Letizia Bontempi, the students took turns planting trees. Meanwhile, others were divided into teams and used a dedicated app to identify various plant and flower species; two of the teams successfully identified nearly 40 different species. All participants were presented with a commemorative diploma to mark the occasion.
The project received the official patronage of the Municipality of Gualdo Tadino, with the support of Deputy Mayor Paola Gramaccia, and garnered significant media attention: RAI – TG3 Umbria featured a dedicated report during the regional news broadcast.
The initiative, conceived and funded by Our Land Holding Ltd, confirms the company’s commitment to protecting the land and its agricultural heritage. As explained by Social Media Manager Majscia Biagi, the company stands firmly against speculative land exploitation in favor of promoting ethical and sustainable agriculture.
The school expressed its hope that similar initiatives can be repeated in the future, consolidating the bond between students, institutions, and businesses in support of environmental education.
