Yesterday, at the Our Land site in Caprara (Gualdo Tadino), under the patronage of the Municipality, a day dedicated to planting took place. The event saw the participation of fourth-year high school students from the Casimiri Institute, accompanied by their teachers.
During the day, about forty new plants were planted, divided between lime and walnut trees. The event took place in a particularly pleasant atmosphere, favored by a beautiful sunny day that had been missing for several days.
The students participated with great enthusiasm and a spirit of collaboration. In turns, everyone took part in the planting activities, while others, divided into teams, participated in a botanical identification activity using a specific application. The goal was to identify as many plants and flowers as possible in the area.
At the end of the activity, a certificate of participation was given to the participants. The group that achieved the best result managed to identify 39 different types of plants, bushes, and flowers. A second group identified 36 species, while a third group achieved a slightly lower result. All students were given a certificate to reward the commitment shown.
The day proved to be a very positive and engaging experience. Considering the large space available, similar initiatives may be organized again in the future.
